Tracking the wild chimpanzees is an additional activity to gorilla trekking in Uganda. These chimpanzees can be tracked in most forests within the country including Kibale Forest National Park, Kalinzu Forest, Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park and Budogo Forest in the Murchison Falls Conservation Area. There is also Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, an exsitu conservation area for chimpanzees managed and run by the Jane Goodall Institute.
